I am a Latin American artist based in New York. I work with materials that hold contradictions. Silicone evokes the plastic that pollutes our waters — simultaneously protective and contaminating. Hair, a biological cable connecting us to thought, also holds the power to purify polluted waters.
In my Floating Territories series I print photographs of glaciers and rivers, layering images of endangered animals, messages in Braille and Morse code, and confetti made from upcycled plastic water bottles — building surfaces that demand both visual and tactile encounter with ecological loss.
Working across printmaking, drawing, and material intervention, I investigate the traces we leave on a planet shaped by our own industrial evolution.
